Function

1. Catharsis: Senna leaf infusion contains anthraquinone derivatives, and its catharsis and irritation are stronger than other laxatives.
2. Antibacterial effect: Senna leaf extract is effective against staphylococcus, diphtheria bacillus, typhoid bacillus, paratyphoid bacillus, Escherichia coli and other alcohol-tolerant bacteria. The water extract is only useful for Salmonella typhi.
3. Hemostasis: Senna leaf powder can increase platelets and fibrinogen, reduce clotting time, recalcification time, prothrombin time and blood clot contraction time, and help stop bleeding
4. Muscle relaxation: Senna can block the acetylcholine at the motor nerve endings and bone joints to relax the muscles.
